My New Idea
So yesterday I was talking about starting my own company... after a short sleep last night, and long stressful morning, I realized how much work that would be. Those of you who know me best know that I'm deathly allergic to that much work, so my new plan is to get a cushy tech or copy writing job with a contract firm, or an established writing firm. (I have another idea that I'll share in depth in a later post)
Unfortunately for my job-shop-ability (it's a word... look it up!), I still don't have an Honours Degree (I dropped out 4 credits shy), but I am eligible for my General Degree. This does not bode well for the AchtungDavey. Alas, being the type of guy to craft zany schemes... I'd just like to highlight that... zany schemes... I think I have that licked.
I'm going to draft up an advertising campaign for myself... selling myself as a product; complete with print ads, online ads, press releases... you name it. Once it's built, I'll submit that instead of a resume. Hopefully it'll showcase my abilities when it comes to design and working with text, and not make me look like a huge tool. Mind you, people have thought worse of me than just thinking I'm really arrogant for turning myself into a brand.
"AchtungDavey 1.1! Install it in YOUR office... or I'll burn your building down!" Hmm, I think my parole office will have something to say about that. Again. Man, I hate that guy.
